significant challenge of infusion of IV fluid, especially for colloids and under rapid transfusion conditions, in conditions without a consistent downward G vector. In addition, there is utility in austere terrestrial environments where an upright air trap is impractical. Further research is necessary to confirm in vivo utility and flow in microgravity conditions.
